3D printing of a concrete house

When preparing the construction of a concrete house, you can use not only ready-made sketches and drawings, but you can also translate your wildest ideas into real construction plans. The speed of construction preparation is higher than ever before, and the complexity of implementation will no longer lead to a significant increase in the cost of the project.

The implementation of your ideas in the construction of a concrete house on a 3D printer will cost no more than using traditional construction technology, subject to all standards for reliability and convenience of construction.

Printing of the structure (permanent formwork) at the enterprise

Pros: with this construction of the building, there are practically no restrictions on the geometry of the created shapes. Also, we get the opportunity to create structures in conditions where weather and temperature restrictions are leveled.

Cons: the time and cost of 3D printing at home increases. There is a need to transport concrete products to the construction site of the structure.

Combined

A larger volume of 3D structures is printed according to the plan on the construction site. Structurally complex forms of the house can be made directly in the conditions of stationary production and prepared for the beginning of the construction cycle.

The combined 3D printing method combines all the advantages of other methods of 3D printing buildings and structures made of concrete.

In stationary conditions of the enterprise, we produce two types of products:

  1. ready-made structural elements
  2. fixed formwork for construction

The difference between the technology of non-removable formwork and the technology of ready-made structural elements is that, unlike the finished form, the non-removable formwork is specially designed for subsequent filling with material at the construction site of the structure. Filling the formwork with concrete can be carried out with reinforcement, creating strong elements of the supporting structures of the house and for the overall reinforcement of the structure of the structure. Also, pouring can be performed with light types of concrete that have high thermal protection characteristics.

The printing technology in the workshop provides for the subsequent transportation to the construction site of 3D structures, finished elements, non-removable 3D formwork that are produced at the enterprise by the construction 3D printing method.

What is the advantage of this technology? Firstly, in the conditions of stationary production of products made of 3D furnace concrete, it is possible to achieve maximum quality and design strength of concrete, to exclude the influence of various negative factors.

Secondly, in such conditions of the workshop it is easier to ensure high quality surface treatment of finished blocks.

Then, already from ready-made 3D structural clusters, the structure is assembled quickly enough, according to the design documentation, which significantly saves construction time. At the construction stage, already prepared 3D cloud clusters can be further reinforced and filled with a stronger brand of concrete mix. Having experience in construction, we recommend using polystyrene concrete, foam concrete or light concrete, a kind of arbolite - kostrobeton.

Due to their properties (low thermal and sound conductivity), structural elements of buildings made in this way have additional advantages.

During the manufacturing process, the weight of the finished clusters can range from several kilograms to 2 tons, with an area of up to 20 square meters.

Features of 3D printing technology provide for the width of the printed layer from 30 mm. and more, the height of the printing layer during construction is from 10 to 20 mm. It is also possible to print special concrete blocks with a weight that does not require the use of a crane and other construction equipment at the construction site. 3D printing of larger clusters is also provided, which provides greater speed of construction and reduces the number of structural connections, but requires the use of a crane during the construction of buildings and structures.

A feature of the printing technology is the possibility of high-quality processing of the external and internal surfaces of structures and blocks and can be carried out in the conditions of the workshop at the enterprise or performed directly during the construction of structures.

During 3D printing, concrete clusters can be reinforced with special composite reinforcement. It is provided for the use of mortgages made of metal, etc. materials.

All our products in the process of 3D printing are made of various grades of concrete. Most of the products are made from adapted concrete mixes and according to their technological characteristics correspond to the M350 concrete brand. The most durable mixes for construction include crushed stone with a fraction of up to 5 mm, and the printing technology also provides for the use of compounds reinforced with the addition of polypropylene, glass or basalt microfibre.
